The Lucky Dog Catamaran Company is owned and operated by Captain Kimber and Ann Rosswork. Kimber grew up in Annapolis, and has spent most of his life sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Ann grew up boating on Lake George in upstate New York. Kimber and Ann met in 1994 while living in Crested Butte, CO, where they dreamed up the idea for the Lucky Dog Catamaran Company. They had the boat custom built in Charleston, SC, and now enjoy living St. Michaels.
The ‘dog’ in the company’s name comes from Kimber and Ann’s beloved Rottweiler, Luke. Luke came from Colorado, but loved sailing and swimming on the Bay. Luke was the inspiration for their company’s name and logo and is a greatly missed family member. 3/20/96 - 8/15/06
